Here's a quick guide on how to update your Minecraft Bedrock Server version on SimpleGameHosting.

Creating a Backup

  1. Head to your SimpleGameHosting Panel and click the "Backups" tab in the menu bar.
  2. Hit the "Create Backup" button.
    1. Note: If you do not see a "Create Backup" button, it is because you have 10 backups currently, which is the maximum allowed. To fix this, click the three dots next to the oldest backup you no longer need, and click "Delete." Click "Delete" again on the pop-up that appears. You should now have the "Create Backup" button.
  3. Name your backup and check the option to lock it. Now hit "Start Backup." Your server backup will then be created. This can take some time depending on the size of your server.

Updating the Server

1. Go to the "Console" tab and click the "Stop" button to stop your server.

2. Select the "Settings" tab in the menu bar.

3. Click the "Reinstall Server" button.

ℹ️ You will get a warning that you may lose some files. This is normal, and you won't lose your world/player files.

4. On the pop-up warning, click "Yes, reinstall the server."

5. Once the installation is finished, go back to the "Console" tab, and click the "Start" button to start your server.

Your Bedrock server is now on the latest Minecraft Bedrock version.
