How To Reset Your World on a Minecraft Server

Sometimes, you just want to start fresh on your Minecraft server, so how do you delete your world on a Minecraft server in order to start fresh? Well, let me show you. 

 ⚠️ Note: You may want to backup your Minecraft server before resetting your world, so you don't accidentally lose data you don't want to lose. 

Step 1: Login to the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel

Before we can reset your Minecraft world, we need to access the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel.

After logging into the control panel, you will need to select the server that you want to reset the world on. 

Step 2: Stop Your Server

In order to reset your world, you will need to stop your server. This is done by going to the "Console" tab in the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel and click the "Stop" button in the console area.

Step 3: Navigate to the File Manager

The next step of resetting your Minecraft world is navigating to the File Manager. This will allow you to see all of the files on your Minecraft server including the world files. 

You can access the File Manager by click the "File Manager" button at the top of the control panel.

Step 4: Removing Your Old World

Once you are in the File Manager, locate the folder with the name "world". 

Click on the three dots on the right-hand side next to the world folder. Click "Rename".

Add "_old" after the File Name. Then, click the "Rename" button to confirm the name change.

👾 If you want to reset the nether and end on your Minecraft server, repeat the above process with the "world_nether" and "world_the_end" folders.  

Step 5: Restart Your Minecraft Server

All you need to do now in order to get a new world for your Minecraft server is navigate back to the "Console" button at the top of the Control Panel and click the "Start" button in the console section. 

When your server is done starting, you will have a brand new world to enjoy and explore!
