How To Install NeoForge on Your Minecraft Server

In this quick guide, we'll show you how to install a version of NeoForge onto your Simple Game Hosting server!

⚠️ Note: You may want to backup your Minecraft server before installing Forge, so you don't accidentally lose data you don't want to lose.

Step 1: Login To the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel

To get started, you will need to log in to the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel. 

If you haven't accessed the panel before, here is our guide on getting started with it. 

Once you have logged in, select the server to which you want to add Minecraft Forge. 

Step 2: Access the Version Manager

With your server selected, click on the "Modpacks & Versions" tab in the menu bar.

Then select the "Version Manager" tab inside the "Modpacks & Versions" menu on your panel.

Step 3: Install NeoForge on your SGH Server

A dialogue box will appear warning you that you could lose data if you install NeoForge. This shouldn't be an issue if you backed up your server. 

Click the final "Install" button here, and NeoForge will be installed on your Minecraft server.

Once it is complete, you will get a "Version changed successfully" message. 

Step 4: Restart Start Your Server

With Forge added to your server, you can go back to the "Console" tab and start or restart your server. When you do, Forge will be installed.
