If you're exploring your world and you find an area that you can't enter without crashing, or perhaps blocks won't update in the area, or maybe when you join you instantly crash, all of these are symptoms of a Corrupted Chunk. Here is a step-by-step guide on dealing with a corrupted chunk!

⚠️ Corrupted Chunks are inevitable in most servers with big worlds. There is no way to "stop" corrupted chunks from happening on your server. If you are experiencing corrupted chunks frequently, there may be something wrong with the server itself. Contact LiveChat support or create a ticket to deal with frequent corrupted chunks.

Step 1: Finding the regions file.

Before we actually deal with the chunk itself we must locate the chunk. To do this we have helpful tools!

Head over to minecraft.tools and then click on the Coordinate Calculator, then type in a coordinate that is located inside the corrupted chunk. For this example we're just going to type in 1000.

From here we are going to look at the 'Region Informations' section, in the File part, it says where the chunk is located in the File box.

Step 2: Deleting the Region File

From here we are going into the Panel and navigating to the 'File Manager' menu.

Next, we will navigate to the World folder. And then click on the Region folder.

Next, simply delete the file that was highlighted in step one

❗ Hold up! Be sure that this is in fact the region you want to delete, because once deleting the region, it won't come back unless backed up. Everything inside the region will also be deleted.

Now, you're done! If you have any questions contact one of our agents via Live Chat or open a ticket.
