How to Upload a Minecraft Bedrock World

Uploading a Bedrock (or Windows Edition) Minecraft world requires different steps than a traditional Java Edition World. Here is a complete guide on uploading a Minecraft Bedrock World to your server.

Getting Your World

You will need a ".mcworld" file to upload the Bedrock world to your SimpleGameHost server. This can be found in a single-player world by clicking the "Edit" pencil on it. Scroll down and click "Export World" at the bottom of the Game Settings tab.

Save this file, and you will have a .mcworld file to upload to your server.

Head back to your SimpleGameHosting Panel, and stop your server. Now, we can start the process of uploading a Bedrock World.

๐Ÿ›‘ Note: You will need to access your server using SFTP. This is required due to the world files being too large to upload directly to the File Manager. Check out our guide on how to access your server using an SFTP client.

Uploading Your World

Once you've connected to your server using SFTP, open the "worlds" folder.

From here, open the "Bedrock level" folder, and delete all of the files and folders inside of it.

Note: This will remove any current world uploaded to your server. Be sure to create a backup on the SimpleGameHosting Panel and lock it if you wish to keep the world.

Next, drag the .mcworld file to the "Bedrock level" folder.

Once the upload is complete, return to the SimpleGameHosting Panel and navigate to the "File Manager" page. Open the "worlds" folder, and then open the "Bedrock level" folder.

Click the three dots next to the .mcworld folder you uploaded, and click "Unarchive." This will unarchive the world onto the server.

Return to the "Console" page on the Panel and hit "Start" to start your server with the newly installed world/map.
