🧱 How World Trimming Works
Minecraft worlds are stored in chunks (16×16 blocks). These live inside region files found in:
- world/region
- world_nether/region
- world_the_end/region
When you trim a world, you’re deleting chunks outside your chosen area. If players ever go there again, Minecraft will regenerate fresh terrain using the seed.
📏 Pick Your Radius First
Before trimming, decide how big the world should be:

🏠 2–5k blocks – Small SMP / RPG servers

⚔️ 5–25k blocks – Medium SMP, factions
- ☠️100k+ - Anarchy Server (Often require large worlds, incurring disk-space management needs)
