If you keep getting kicked from your Minecraft server for flying, this guide will help you fix that issue. By default, flight is turned off on Minecraft servers. This means that using an elytra, a jetpack, or any other method of flying can cause you to get kicked from the game.
To prevent this from happening, you will need to turn on the flight setting in your server settings. There are two easy ways to do this through your SimpleGameHosting control panel, and the steps below will guide you through both options so you can enjoy flying without being kicked!
Option 1: Editing the Server's Settings
To start, you’ll need to log in to the SimpleGameHosting Game Control Panel. If you haven’t done this before, we have a full guide that walks you through the process step by step.
1. Head to your server’s Settings tab and scroll down until you see the Allow Flight option.
2. Switch it on so it turns green, then hit Save Changes. When the confirmation popup appears, click Save and Restart to apply the changes.
Option 2: Editing the "server.properties" File
1. Click on the File Manager tab in the menu bar. This is where all of your server's files and folders can be accessed.
2. In the File Manager, find the server.properties file and click on it to open it and start editing the file.
3. Locate the "allow-flight
" setting.
4. Change this setting to "allow-flight=true".
5. Click the Save Content button to save the change you just made.
6. Click the Console tab, and click the Restart button on your server. This will close and reopen your server enabling flight when it starts back up!
