How To Change the Tick Speed in Minecraft

In this quick guide we'll show you how to change your tick speed on your server and in singleplayer! Both the methods are the same.

For Your Server:

Step 1: Log Into Your Simple Game Hosting Server

1. The first step in changing your server's seed is to log in to your server's control panel.

2. Open a new tab in your browser and navigate to: panel.simplegamehosting.com.undefined3. Enter your login information in the fields shown. Click Login to access your server's panel.

Step 2: Input the Command in the Console

For servers, it's as simple as inputting the command in the console here!

The command is:

gamerule randomTickSpeed X

Where X is the number you wish to set it to. By default, the normal Minecraft tick speed is set to 3.

For Singleplayer/In-Game:

If you're wanting to run the command in game from your server, you will need to be op'd. Here is a guide on how to do that.

If you're in singleplayer and wanting to do that, you will need to turn on the "enable commands" option for java or "enable cheats" option for bedrock.

Then, once in game, in the chat box just run the command!

The command is:

/gamerule randomTickSpeed X

Where X is the number you wish to set it to. By default, the normal Minecraft tick speed is set to 3.
