How to Change Spawn Protection on a Minecraft Server

Spawn Protection is a default option within Minecraft that prevents the destruction and usage of blocks within a specified area centered around your spawn point. This can be a source of annoyance, so let's learn how to get rid of it or change it to fit your needs.

Find your Server.Properties File

In your panel, you should have a Server.Properties file. If not, just launch the server once and it will automatically generate.

Click it to open the settings within. It will display as a text document that you can edit.

Find spawn-protection Setting

Within the Server.Properties file, find the spawn-protection setting. This is the setting you will need to change in order to disable Spawn Protection from your server for good.Once you've located it, simply set the value to zero to disable it, or set it to a new value to modify the spawn protection area.

Then press Save Content in the top right.

With this done, simply restart the server, and the new spawn protection area will be applied. once it has loaded up once again!
