Help CenterIn this guide, we will show you how to install data packs into your Simple Game Hosting Minecraft server! Data packs are a great way to customize a Minecraft server and be added to vanilla, modded, and plugin based Minecraft servers.
Step 1: Locate the File Manager on your server panel
To get started, you will need to go to the SimpleGameHosting Control Panel and login to your account.
From there, select your server, and you will be on the "Console" tab. Click the "Stop" button on this page to stop your server.
Finally, click the "File Manager" tab at the top to go your server's File Manager.
Step 2: Locate and Open your "world" Folder
Within the File Manager, find the "world" folder. Click on this folder to open it.
Step 3: Locate and Open the "datapacks" Folder
Within the world folder, there will be a "datapacks" folder. Open this folder.
Step 4: Upload Your Datapack
If your file is under 300MB, you can directly drag and drop the .zip folder into the folder within the File Manager or use the "Upload" button and select the file.
If your data pack is over 300MB, you will need to use SFTP. Here is a full and complete guide on how to do that!
Step 5: Start Your Server
You're done! Your data pack is now installed on the server! From here, just go back to the "Console" tab at the top and click the "Start" button on your server.
Your server will then turn back on with the data packs installed!
